The Plant House Cafe
About the project
I am referencing an existing non-chain coffee shop in Chicago to rebrand their website. The site should have the necessary page content with a designed visual hierarchy, clean code, responsive web design techniques, typography, color, and grid layout.

Challenges
A challenge I faced when brainstorming was making sure to choose a grid layout that would best showcase the visual hierarchy within the rebranded site. It took about 16 wireframes until I decided what grid layout best suited The Plant House Cafe.

WIREFRAME SKETCHES

Another challenge I faced was finding the photography that fit the theme for the coffee shop. I decided to use some photographs that I had taken from the original coffee shop and incorporate some of those into this rebrand project. It was helpful to visit the coffee shop on which I based this project. I had photographs as references to ensure I incorporated all the details that the rebranded coffee shop should have.

Solution
The company’s primary need was to rebrand its website to welcome a diversity of people into its location. The original site did not provide much information regarding their hours, and what beverages or food they sold, and the visual hierarchy and grid layout were non-existent. Through this process, I was able to create a visual hierarchy, a grid layout, and a responsive website displaying all the needed information for this coffee shop cafe.
